A Year of Impact: Highlights from Hill Tribe’s Journey in 2025
As we close out 2025, we’re reflecting on a year filled with collaboration and community-driven impact. From championing equality to investing in social enterprises, every step we’ve taken has been guided by our values of community, integrity, empowerment, diversity & fun.
Leading with Purpose
The year began with Annie joining the steering committee for International Women’s Day. This effort culminated in March with a powerful event celebrating resilience and equality, raising an incredible $40,000 for the Happiness Co Foundation. A testament to what happens when communities unite for a shared cause.
Strengthening Social Enterprise Connections
In February, we proudly supported Sister Project, inviting their CEO to visit SisterWorks in Victoria. This exchange sparked ideas for collaboration and reinforced the importance of networks that empower women and multicultural communities.
Supporting Diversity
A bold move in 2025, was collaborating with Impact Seed and Spinifex Trust to provide a loan to Redrawn, a social enterprise dedicated to upskilling individuals from under-represented minority groups. This will allow them to expand their operations in WA.
Community Engagement & Philanthropy
2025 also saw the Meridian Global Foundation inviting Annie to be the guest of Meet the Philanthropist. They are a Perth Based Giving Circle with a mission to inspire philanthropy in everyday people.
This year, Meridian Giving Circles awarded:
• $30,000 to Grandcarers WA
• $20,000 to CINI Australia
• $10,000 to the World Literacy Foundation
We also attended the Goldfields Children’s Charity Ball in Kalgoorlie, reconnecting with grassroots initiatives and sharing insights on why community-based programs must thrive in regional areas.
Collaboration remained a theme throughout the year, with Hill Tribe participating in a Collaborative Funders Group with PWN and a couple of Think Bucket sessions with 12 Buckets—both aimed at driving collective impact.
Impact 100 WA
In 2025, three outstanding recipients each received $100,000:
Short Back and Sidewalks
Constable Care Foundation
Sam’s Spares
Additionally, two minor recipients were supported:
Transfolk WA ($25,000)
Busselton Hospice Care Inc. ($15,000)
Impact Investment
Fremantle Seaweed are harnessing the benefits of Asparagopsis, to support sustainable practices in agriculture.
Bernie, born from a family legacy of pharmacy care, delivers fast relief, faster recovery and lasting protection.
Exploring New Horizons
This year also marked the beginning of discussions with Reboot Australia, led by Anthony McShane and, more recently, meeting with stakeholders in Nannup to explore the potential for Community Foundations in WA, a promising step toward sustainable local philanthropy.
Tech & Innovation
On the tech front, Hill Tribe embraced innovation by participating in trial for Happi, an Australian-built, clinically informed mental wellbeing companion and coach that makes support available anytime, anywhere – visible, immediate and stigma-free. Whether someone is feeling isolated, anxious or simply needs to reset, they can reach Happi instantly.
We also supported Cinefly, a media-tech company specialising in user-generated video content (UGC). The platform helps you co-create video content with anyone, anytime and anywhere around the world
And we proudly launched our new website—a hub for sharing stories, insights, and opportunities for collaboration
Loop
November saw the official launch of Loop‘s new premises attended by friends and supporters.
